Not the Call you want from School

Just the 4th day into kindergarten and my phone rings at 1:11 and the caller id is Rome City Schools. The school nurse says Drew has fallen on the playground and can't walk and screams for Mama. So Patrick and I go to find out that Drew needs to go to the ER. Thank you to great friends. I had a friend want to pick up John then she came by the ER and picked up Patrick. Drew did great! After having x-rays, we found out that his left tibia bone was broke. Its going to be a long road. He is doing well. We go to see an orthopedic doctor hopefully today. This NOT the way to start your first week of kindergarten if you ask me. Luckily is only weighs 38 lbs. He does have to be carried every where.

First day of Kindergarten

It's hard to believe we have two children in BIG school. Drew started Kindergarten today. He was so excited! Could not wait. We took pictures this morning before we left the house. You can tell Drew was ready to go. John started second grade today. He likes his teacher and was glad he got some good buddies in his class. We met Johns teacher yesterday but he will be out til the end of next week. His mother is very ill. I'll have to take pictures of them at a later date. You'll see Drew with his teacher, Ms. Pacheco. She is really nice and I think he'll have a good year too. There were two of his friends in his class that came from his preschool. He was glad to see a familiar face.

Where did the summer go?

Wow! Summer is gone and school starts Friday. I haven't had a lot of time to post things this summer. Sorry. Its been fun and busy!! For most of the summer John played Baseball All Stars. And with that Chris helped coach and Drew was the bat boy. We'll that was our summer with a few times going to the pool, a few days the boys and I went to North Alabama to visit family, we had season passes to Six Flags and went there 4 times and last week we were able to have a week at the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama. It was sooooo nice. Chris and I celebrated our 12th Wedding Anniversary this past Sunday as we drove home from the beach. We did celebrate it Saturday night on a date in Gulf Shores. Chris surprised me with tickets to the Lorrie Morgan concert and dinner. My aunt and uncle kept the boys. We had a great time and THANK YOU Aunt Betty and Uncle Randy. WOW! It's hard to believe that Drew is starting kindergarten on Friday and John will be in second grade. I'll post pictures of their first day of school. Stay tuned.

Six Flags Over Georgia

I took the boys to Six Flags on Monday with a friend of ours and her son that is Johns age and her daughter Drews age. They had a blast and can't wait to go back. Here are a few pictures of our day. Patrick even got to ride some rides and loved it. John is in the red shirt flying high in the big swings.
The Characters were a hit.
Here John is in the green shirt and Mitch on Thunder River, which is his swim shirt from where we had gone to Skull Island. Skull Island is a water park inside Six Flags.
More Characters!!
John and Patrick riding with me on Up Up and Away with Meredith and Drew in the background.
Hands up High!
This ride was actually Drews favorite ride in the car in front of us.

Happy 5th Birthday Drew!

Its hard to believe that Drew is 5 years old. Yesterday was is birthday and it was a fun big boy day. I took Drew and John to hit some range balls at the golf course, eat lunch and stay at the pool all day. If your wondering where Patrick was, he had spent the Thursday night with Nana and Bob. I guess you could say that was a big birthday present to Drew so we could have a big boy day and do things that we couldn't normally do with Patrick. Today we had his "BIG" party and we rented a waterslide. Yes, the weather has been HOT here but today was an overcast and cooler. So we ended up taking the water out of the slide and playing without water. The kids got really cold. Drew was very excited to have all his friends from school come back over. Drew with all his presents.
The cake!
John and Drew going up one side to go down the waterslide.
Patrick had to be in the middle of it all. He wanted to go down the waterslide to I helped him up and John took him down. Luckily he couldn't get up the back of it by himself. So he only went down a few times.
Happy Birthday Andrew!
