Dinner Time

After screaming and getting between my legs and the counter (pushing me away) while I cooked dinner, Patrick finally realized mommy was not given in and decided to find something else to get into. I was so glad to get him off my leg. Cooking dinner while Patrick is up is not always fun. He did seem to have a good time banging 2 lids together. I used my small camera that doesn't seem to work well with fast moving objects. Sorry.

A day with the Gamecocks!

Fan day with the Gamecocks! Chris took the boys to Jacksonville Alabama last Sunday to meet the coaches players cheerleaders and COCKY the mascot. They had a blast. Of course if there is a ball involved then the boys just like their daddy will have a good time. John and Drew with a gamecock player from Cedartown, GA Drew Robinson. The boys were WOW!

Drew and Patricks first day at Preschool

Preschool started this week for Drew and Patrick. They had a tea party on Monday, Aug. 14 and the first day of school was Tues. Tea party is where you meet your teacher and bring in your school supplies. The boys had to check out the new play ground too at the tea party. That was more important than meeting his teacher for Drew. Drew has the same Pre K 4 teacher that John had. He's excited and really likes her! Patrick on the other hand "its all new" He did well on his first day. The note attached to his book bag said "I survived my first day of preschool" so I guess that's good. Patrick will go just 2 days a week whereas Drew will go 4 days. Patricks okay with that. Patricks book bag is almost as big as he is.

Johns first day of first grade

Johns first day of first grade was August 4th. He's glad to be back in school. They have homework every night. We're getting used to that. Its hard to believe that John is in first grade. Next year Drew will be going to the same school in kindergarten. WOW!

Sherris New Toy

As many of you know for some reason I have wanted a van since we were expecting Patrick. I had never driven one only heard from others how great it was when you have small children. Chris was not for the idea. A van... No way! Well over time he had been coming around. Even called a month ago to the car saleman. (I was told that this morning) He surprised me yesterday afternoon with a Honda Van. He traded his car. (which we had talked about doing) Saturday he took John & Drew to Auburn, AL for fan day. Sunday night when we came home from swimming he noticed he had a flat tire on the Volvo. Well that one tire cost him $250 so at that point he called the car salesman again on Monday. Tuesday he went and brought one home to me. Didn't he do a good job! My SUV did take a lot of gas and I'm on the road a lot shuttling kids around so Chris will drive that for now.

Fun on the beach

We had a late July vacation to the beach this summer and had a great time. It was Patricks first beach trip and we could not keep him out of the ocean. My Aunt and Uncle came and started their vacation early to spend a few days with us. It was great! We had a good visit and my cousin little boy Trippe played with John in the ocean. They had a good time together. Drew liked the ocean but preferred the pool better. So we had a little pool time too. Trippe & John on floats in the back ground. Chris of course pulling Patrick from the ocean and Aunt Betty helping Drew find shells. Early in the week John and Drew looking for treasures as they would say. "Broken shells" Trippe & John. Trippe has crashed & John is about too. Patrick getting some shade. Our first day on the beach. Look how calm the ocean is in the background. We tried the boat to keep Patrick out of the ocean and it worked for all of 10 min. maybe. It was still worth it. He rode the waves in it too. Uncle Randy & Aunt Betty

Pool Time

Patrick has loved the pool and water all summer. Its been so hot that we've gone to the pool almost every day that we've been in town. Look at his big belly... And we were concerned about his weight.
