Opening Game Day behind the Levee Baseball

John had be so excited about opening game day that he layed his NEW uniform out like Monday last week. He had looked and touched it every day this week, I think. Chris said he did the same thing when he was little. I wouldn't know about that. ha. It was so COLD. It never got over 48 degrees and the wind chill was like 20. NOT baseball weather if you ask me. Drew, Patrick and I made it for the first game for like one inning. I told Drew many times "We'll go to the car after John bats." After 5 minutes Drew was ready. Basically we were in the car from like 3:00 til 7:45 when they finished. After the first game we had an hour so we went and ate dinner. Patrick did okay. He was restless but I didn't blame him. He did fall asleep during the 2nd game for about 30 minutes and during that time my battery went dead and I had to find someone to jump us off. That's what I get for playing movies for most of the day in the car. Hey! It was worth it. It was to cold to go outside and play. We parked by the fence so I could watch Johns games from the car. By the way they WON both games. The first one agaist Midway 24-9 (It was called for the number of runs ahead we were) and the second agaist Unity Christian School 13-10. It was close. John had some really good plays and hit the ball so much better than last year. You can really tell the power in his arms from last year. John #12 Warming up before the first game. (click on the photo to enlarge it) John playing short and Chris behind him in the red jacket. Two coaches are out in the field to help the boys and tell them where to throw the ball. They can not interfere with the game otherthan give directions. Again not to many pictures with the weather so cold. What little I was out, Patrick was on my chest in the carrier. If you'll notice I'm the car by the black truck. Yellow truck, black truck then me. So see how close we were in the car. And we stayed so much warmer.

Patrick in the table

Chris and I heard Patrick fussing and wondered what was he into now. It's always something. I looked around and he had crawled through the chairs at the kitchen table and was stuck in the center of the table. I thought this could be a good play pin. Only he put himself in it. Once I started taking pictures he thought he'd be cute. It wasn't so cute when no one was around.

Chuck E Cheese

I had to go pick up some fabric in Kennesaw, GA just about an hour from here and where Nana works. Yes, there is a Chuck E Cheese too. I thought we'd eat lunch there, pick up the fabric and be back in Rome to pick John up from school by 2:40. Nana had to go to work at 1:00 so she met us there. I didn't tell Drew nothing but I had a surprise for him. Driving an hour and picking up fabric didn't sound fun to him. He fell asleep on the way and it didn't take him long when I woke him to figure out my surprise. He knew where we were from the parking lot and his eyes got big. Again, I didn't tell him about Nana either. We had ordered and started playing when she came in. WOW! He was in heaven. It was Patrick's first visit to Chuck E Cheese and he kinda liked it too. Drew was a big helper and a good BIG brother. And the little brother came out of him when we picked John up from school. I thought the Assistant Principal was going to fall out laughing. She didn't even get the door open good before Drew starting about where we went. "WE WENT TO CHUCK E CHEESE" over and over. It's always something.

Week at our house

We've had a good week but busy. John had baseball practice Mon.Tues. & Thurs. and FWFriends at church Wednesday. With baseball season finally here that's pretty much our weeks to come til June. John had a short week at school with Monday being an in service day for the teachers. At school John learned two more letters, two more words and had to clean up after those messy leprechauns! Needless to say John had a fun week at school. Friday he came in and told me to check our milk. At school Mrs. Wilson found the milk green. And no it wasn't opened! He dashed in and opened our milk before I could say anything. I told him that the leprechauns must have missed our house. Patrick on the other hand just is making so much progress. It want be long til he's walking. He is moving around pretty fast. I've been cleaning out closets for the change of the season. That takes me at least a week. I started Monday and haven't gotten to Patrick room yet. Besides he is such a great little helper that I've decided to finish while he is either sleeping or playing with daddy this weekend. I'd open a drawer in Drew's room and before I could look at sizes on shirts, Patrick had the drawer almost empty. He loved throwing them out. That goes to this morning while he was playing in the floor I decided to tackle the clean clothes to fold. As you can see below he had more fun helping me. I couldn't believe it when I looked down and saw him face down in the clothes. I guess a good mommy would have helped him out. But I felt like it was a photo moment so I went to get the camera first. Luckily, he didn't mind to much. Opps! You can see he's trying to throw out clothes as fast as he can. He got stuck. Drew waiting to go outside and play baseball. I asked him to play with Patrick for a minute and he's holding a book to make it look good. He could really care less. John had gone to stay the night at Nana and Bobs house last night but Drew went Thursday night and to Atlanta shopping Friday. Drew wanted a day with Nana and Bob all to himself. He did have fun. He got some new fire truck tennis shoes that light up. Nana said he stomped around a lot after that to make them light up. He was proud to pick out John and Patrick a tee shirt too. It wasn't bad.

Skating party

A little girl in John's class had a skating party last Sunday. John wanted Drew to go, so Drew got to miss his nap. Boy.... you could tell it. They had a good time. Drew didn't want much to do with the skating party but it loved the cake and ice cream. John did pretty good. This was John's third time to skate but the last time was January 2005. Drew just wanted his skates OFF. It was FUN!

Play Time

Saturday after John's ball practice we took the boys to play outside since it was such a pretty day. A little cool but the boys had fun just being outside. John and Drew wanted to take turns siding with Patrick.

My new toy

I found a new toy and I love it. I'm so glad my 2 big brothers took care of the coupe car for me. I've been told its had a lot of miles on it. My mama washed it and cleaned it up just for me. If my nana would have pushed me all afternoon I'd still be in it. Mom made me come it and eat. But I enjoyed it. I also went today and got weighed. I'm a big 16lbs and 12 oz. I'm working on my diet. I need to gain a few pounds. I'm pretty happy and healthy. My moms said I'm also a busy little guy. We hope you are doing well too. Love you!
