I'm 10 months old Today!

WOW! Time goes by so fast. Today Patrick is 10 months old. He is changing every day. His smile is so big. He laughs a lot. He likes playing with Drew's cars. Drew's not so happy about that, but he is getting better. Patrick is crawling and getting around just about anywhere he wants to go. He has started pulling up on everything. He's just exploring. He has 6 teeth now. John wants to take care of him more now and picks him up so we have to watch him with that. John has that mothering in him. Patrick pushing a car around the floor. Delaying time to go take a nap. They learn early!

Patrick has a blankie

Having so much fun in my mess. Look at my feet and you'll see a blankie. Luckly for us it does not go in the mouth. This week he has just started pulling the blanket out of his bed when he comes out. John and Drew has been playing so well in the basement all morning. I took a peek.

Cotillion... A Night in Vegas

Another night out for mom & dad. It was a cold night. Most of the night was in doors at Magretta Hall. There was a band in a tent outside. For the most part we stayed inside and warm. Before we left I got Chris to go outside to the tent to check it out. A lot of folks we knew were out dancing. Believe it or not for the first time, I got Chris out on the dance floor. Okay for a total of 10 minutes. It was cold. Some really good friends of ours were in town from Tennessee so we stayed longer than we ever had. We had a good time. I stayed pretty toasty, even outside. My feet and toes about froze off but other than that I was warm. Of course I was smart and put on longjohns under my dress which was toasty to begin with. Elvis and the pink flamingo's Chris and I on the dance floor before we went home. Chris trying to get heat from a table centerpiece, which was a candle.

Cinderella Ball Preschool 3yr Olds

Announcing.... Princess Isabella and Prince Drew

The First Baptist Preschool three year old classes have the Cinderella Ball every year. It's the big event for the kids. Drew was so excited. He was to dance with Isabella. He showed mommy and John the steps the night before to the dance they were going to do. We couldn't believe that he was excited to wear a tie. Never in his life would he before today. Yes, we'd tried on Sundays and that was a battle we chose not to fight. He was so excited that he wanted to get dressed this morning to show the pest control guy. "Jason" is his buddy. Looking for our parents in the crowd. They held hands until time to dance and Isabella would not hold his hand to dance. Drew kept saying hold my hands. She couldn't find her mama so she got upset which then made Drew upset so I had to dance with him. It was all good. Of course then it was time for snack and Drew was all for that. It's TIME to go eat! said Drew

Going to bed

After putting the boys to bed, Chris and I went downstairs to watch TV. He heard someone upstairs and told them to "GO TO Bed". That was it. John always goes running. I thought it was John all along. It usually is. Chris said it was Drew. Drew is always so quite. Drew doesn't come out of his room much after being put to bed. Two hours later when we were going to bed we found someone passed out at the top of the stairs. I guess he thought if he'd be quite, he could watch TV. he he. This is how Patrick gets up in the mornings. Yells! Everyone knows when he's up.

Gates & Stairs

We have 3 sets of stairs in the house and Patrick is moving around fast these days. Last night was a close call. Before I knew it Patrick's hands were on the hardwood part of the backstairs with the carpet runner on them. I yelled, "SCREAMED" for him to stop. Luckily he stopped and looked back at me. At that point I told Chris we had to put gates up today. So we went to Toys R Us and bought 2 gates. One that mounted to the walls for at the top of stairs which I wanted to put at the top of the basement stairs. We don't know if that will work with the door in the way. We haven't tried it yet. The other I thought we'd put at Patricks door instead of buying and putting holes in the wall upstairs for the 2 set there. We'd just put one at his bedroom door and I could leave him in his room while I got the others clothes out etc. That idea got scratched. I'll have to take this one back and you'll see why. I put him in his room with toys. John and Drew wanted to go in and play with him so they did. Patrick got sooo mad. He likes to be free.

Continued of Gates & Stairs

The Backstairs Frontstairs Basement stairs Patrick getting mad! Climbing out of his room! He had not been locked in more than 2 mintues. And his brothers are in his room with him. John & Drew in the shower and Patrick free. Loving it! We feel after tonight Patrick might be our climber.

Kindergarten Field Trip to the Circus

John's kindergarten classes (4) went to Atlanta to the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus on Friday. Nana (Chris' mother) kept Andrew & Patrick at home. She said they were good. John & I were gone from 7:45am til 2:30pm. We had a good time. John enjoyed mommy going and riding the bus with him. The school chartered buses. It was nice. The kids watched a movie to Atlanta & the Wiggles on the way home. Wouldn't guess who's tapes they used. he he. We brought our lunch and ate when we got to the circus. Parents packed popcorn and juice boxes for the kids to snack on during the show. John didn't really have a favorite, it liked it all.

The Finished Kitchen

I have no excuss not to use the kitchen now. Last week was the worse. Being without a kitchen is not good. The finished product was worth the wait. It looks good. Although now I have to start cooking again... Well sometime. he he
