Fall Festival

John on the rock climbing wall This really made Drews day. He got to sit in the fire truck with the hat on while they started the engine and let him hit the siren. WOW! Patrick found the putt putt golf game and didn't want to leave. He had to be carried away. Without a golf ball too. He soon got over it while he walked around with a sucker.

Halloween Party

The club had a Halloween party for the kids Friday night so we took the boys for dinner which was hot dogs, hamburger, wings, chicken fingers, cookies then off to the party room where they had a craft table, table for decorating cookies, and a table to do a coloring sheet. We found out that Patrick loved the coloring table where he could color on a pumpkin sheet and play in all the colors. He stayed content while the others did a craft. John did a bag and Drew did a visor. Chef came out and carved a pumpkin and later someone told stories. They paraded the kids (about 30ish) around the grill down stairs so the people in the grill eating dinner could see all the costumes. We didn't stick around for story time because we wanted to be home by 8:00 so the kids could watch The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. They agreed so it was easy to leave.

New Word

You know that as little ones grow they begin to say new words. It's cute and funny to listen too. Sometimes you wonder where they learn them from. Patrick's new word is MOOOVVVEE. And he makes it known to you to move. He first started to tell big brother John to move. Last night I was trying to put water in the cup to pour water over his hair to wash it and he said "Mama moovve" has he wanted the cup and in the running water.

Burt's Farm

After Drew's soccer game this morning we were off for a Saturday fall leaf trip up to the North Georgia mountains. I had packed a picnic lunch and we were ready to ride. We stopped by the Apple Festival in Ellijay and went to the apple barns and got apple everything. Apple Cider, red apples, green apples, fried apple pies, and yummy it was "Apple Cider donuts". This can hurt if you want to loose weight. And the big event was Burt's Farm to find the big pumpkin. Burt's Farm is near Amicalola Falls and State Park. It's Patrick's turn. The first fall that John and Drew were able to stand we went and got a big pumpkin. Stay tuned for the that special carving. Patrick will get to experience it too. The boys had a great day. We looked at pumpkins of all sizes and rode on the hayride. They even had talkin pumpkins. Yep! Talkin pumpkins.

Pop Pop & Grandma Joyces visit

Last Friday, a week ago today, my parents came to stay with us while Chris went on a business trip. It was so good to have them come stay with us. It was a bit of a change for them. Spending two days and two nights in a house full of 3 little energetic children. It seems like no one can be happy at the same time. We did stay pretty busy but that's our normal in our house. Saturday morning Drew had a soccer game at 9:00 (that's 8:00 for my parents) that usually last an hour. It was a cool morning. Then it was off to a 10:00 birthday party at Sparkles. You can't miss those around my house. My kids love Sparkles. In fact Patrick tries to hang with the big kids and go go go. Then lunch and home for naps. Poor Patrick didn't even make it home without falling asleep. My parents thought nap time was a good idea. Which is funny cause when I've talked to them on the phone, they think my kids sleep all the time. When your in our house and have been around the boys all day, you seem to think nap time isn't so bad. Everyone needs a little rest during the day. Especially when the day gets started at 6:15 a.m. I'll give Patrick a break he does sleep til 7:30 or 8:00. Just wait til the big boy bed comes in. That's why we're not in no hurry. John and Drew were good sleepers until the big boy bed came in the picture.

The Fair!

As this week is coming to an end and I'm a week behind updating this blog, I do apologize. Drew and Patrick were out of preschool last week for FALL break. I feel like a don't have a minute to spare. Anyway, we took the boys to the fair last week and John and Drew had a blast. If you want to see any body in town just go to the fair. I think we saw everyone in town on the opening night. It's not one of my favorite places to go but in all the kids love it and thats why we went. Besides you can get food that you can't get anywhere else. Patrick liked looking at the animals, all the lights and what he does best, eating/snacking.
